Per year an average pyrolysis plant is carbonising 4,000 tons of sludge (25% DM) to 500 tons of carbon-phosphorus fertiliser. This so-called biochar contains no organic and hygienic impurities.
Biochange has two goals in mind. On one hand, the current costs for sewage sludge disposal should be minimized. On the other hand, the biochar will be marketed as a product in the medium term.
